Jacob Electric LLC executed a critical electrical infrastructure upgrade for Rivian’s commercial facility in Seattle, WA. The project was focused on modernizing the water pump system and associated power distribution components to ensure safe, reliable operations in support of Rivian’s advanced automotive and facility needs.
This tenant improvement and remodel project included extensive electrical work such as transformer grounding and bonding, protective system installations, and temporary power solutions—all performed with minimal operational disruption.
Electrical Scope Highlights
Upgrade of the water pump system
Installation of 100A, 480Y/277V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire (AIC 65kA @ 480V)
Installation of 60A, 208V/120V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire circuit
15 kVA transformer: 480 to 208/120V, 3-Phase
Grounding and bonding of the full electrical system
Installation of updated devices and protection systems
New switches, breakers, contactors, and pushbuttons
Temporary generator hook-up for uninterrupted power during critical work
