Located on a 51-acre site east of North Bend, WA, the Washington State Fire Training Academy is a vital facility used by the Washington State Patrol for firefighter education and simulation. As part of an infrastructure improvement initiative, this project focused on upgrading the electrical systems that support the water pump system and essential training operations.
The scope of work included electrical panel upgrades, installation of transformers with proper grounding and bonding, protective systems for overload prevention, and the setup of temporary backup power via a generator. These upgrades were critical to ensuring system reliability, safety, and uninterrupted training functions across the facility.

Upgrade of the water pump electrical system
Installation of 100A, 480Y/277V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire (AIC 65kA @ 480V)
Installation of 60A, 208V/120V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire circuit
15 kVA transformer: 480 to 208/120V, 3-Phase
Grounding and bonding of the entire electrical system
Installation of new electrical devices per updated requirements
Overload and protection system enhancements
Installation of new switches, breakers, contactors, and pushbuttons
